Here's the bit you're not really understanding about these fight designs and why it sucks even if the gcd loss doesn't matter
Every rotation fundamentally breaks if you have extended downtime, it's in the essence of the game's dna to just shit out entirely, it's dogshit, it's bad. I don't play melee, I played melee in a tier and didn't care about the downtime previously. So because shit just breaks entirely I think more than anything they should double down on the stupid shit as opposed to making people do retarded greeds and waste prog time or my life if I was pfing, these annoying faggots are even worse and I wish they'd die just as much and get out of ff
I want extended segments where you are fucking around in some space in the arena that only a melee can do, maybe he has to sit in an area of an arena for a minute and stun a mob every cycle or something, I'm just spitballing here. 6 is alright, maybe I was a bit extreme in that sentiment but it's something that has novelty because we have quite literally not seen anything like it in what feels like years upon years and once you're done with the cool part if devolves into modern raid slop as usual.
Basically, I'm asking basic shit like - where's the chaos? Where's the personal responsibility, active ones, that aren't reliant on your uptime? If you look at the modern fight design, they basically almost always ask for you to just do your ABCs, how fucking dull can it get.
This is the part where I oust myself as a wownigger too (I play both games at a decently high end). One of the bosses in the raid tier you get turned into a trash ball and play mini katamari for like thirty seconds and go back to playing the boss. Where's that shit in FF? They really can't? I'm just numb to it brother, I'm bitter and angry. I hate these gooks for not having an ounce of interest in their product to make it memorable
