any improvement I might make over the first couple of weeks of drawing will just be a matter of “saddling back onto the horse” I think, I did some studies and still lifes that I was happy with when I was younger but I never really succeeded with imaginative work, that’s where my /beg/ qualities will truly have a chance to shine through
give me a 5-minute prompt on anything and I’ll do away with my pride and demonstrate how inept and absent of any ability to think abstractly I really am, I promise I’m far less able (and certainly less “talented”) than you seem to think… I’ve read the critiques of this pawell fag on his blog and I believe there’s a good chance I’ll end up saying the same things about myself once I broach into more complicated and technical matters that can actually be critiqued like figure studies, perspective, anatomy, values/light dynamics etc
