Israel has captured the USA in a similar way to how the British captured India.
In the case of India, there were more battles, but the outcomes is the same. The smaller nation completely dominates the political, economic, and military system of the much larger imperial holding. The US literally pays tribute to Israel in the form of grants, loans that are never repaid, military equipment, and now soldiers.
Its unusual but not unheard of for smaller countries to take over larger ones for periods of time. It's hard to find an example as extreme as Israel and the US, but the conquest has been aided by technology, communications, and the secular decline of the US political class.
It's worth keeping in mind that the Israelis, as part of their national security strategy, absolutely do control and have subjugated multiple larger Arab countries around them. Jordan was the first of these. Egypt came later with US support. Syria has been smashed. Saudi Arabia and the UAE and other gulf states are allies in all but name. In every case the wider population is openly against the arrangement, but the Arab political class is ready to tow the line. See the recent Egyptian crackdowns on Gaza peace protests for a clear example.
