I currently spend most of my time (when I'm not procrastinating) between studying Japanese and slowly pursuing an education in CS (I'm pretty much a NEET).
Some other interests include: birds, computers/technology (Linux, some programming, Emacs, etc.), reading (both fiction and non-fiction), movies, music, anime/manga, gamedev, Touhou, some philosophy and more recently, psychology/psychotherapy

When it comes to music my favourites tend to be related to jazz, jazz fusion, or progressive rock, but, like many people say, I will listen to music from all kinds of genres, and I'm open to recommendations! If you enjoy sharing music, then that's a big plus for me!
I don't play any instruments and probably never will.

Some anime/manga I like: Anything from Nobuyuki Fukumoto, Masaaki Yuasa, Mamoru Oshii, Gen Urobuchi. TEXHNOLYZE, Bakemonogatari, LotGH, MONSTER, Evangelion, Ashita no Joe, JJBA, Macross.

I find it very hard to find anyone anywhere I click with enough for our interactions to last more than a few days. I don't know if it's an issue of people not putting in enough effort (perhaps me included) or just people not understanding the kind of person I am or what makes me interesting to talk to before giving up. But I also feel like I'm in a weird position where I'm a bit too abnormal that I don't fit in on /soc/ and other places on the internet, but I also just don't even "get" it enough to fit in on the rest of 4chan in general, so I end up not really fitting in anywhere.
I told this to a friend recently and he said that this is a pretty common sentiment to have, so I figured I would try looking for friends again. Perhaps someone will read this and relate to what I said, and we can both feel less alienated from the get go.
