for some reason, the devs decided to have retsnom be the only route tied to saving last/Darumi. i don't know why, the Kill Eito decision has 4-5 routes, so saving Darumi should've had 3-5 routes as well instead of one. It honestly does feel like someone on the dev team, or the team as a whole just had a grudge against her sometimes.

Realistically, I would've added branches on retsnom that divert from deciding to save Nozomi or leave her on day 8, having Takumi decide to not kill Darumi and himself on day 42 when Retsnom goes haywire and kills everyone else, and then later on Takumi decing to sever Darumi's arm, if we go on the put it in a human timeline, if that would solve retsnom, not really sure what unique new branches will be made aside from the one diverging from day 42 turning into some kind of survival route with a monster running around the planet
