Finding a religious virgin woman who wants to wait until marriage before sex sounds absolutely ideal, in a perfect world it would be the norm. I knew deep down that it was selfish and primal of me to shy away from that woman. I didn't meant to suggest that intimacy relies solely on sex to exist, however to me its a big part of intimacy - and I couldn't picture getting married to someone and devoting myself to them for life without experiencing that part of each other first.

There are good hearted men who seek genuine and authentic relationships with women, and that may involve sex & intimacy too. However women have their guard up because of bad past experiences and heightened expectations. It seems that neither side is happy until the other makes a concession ( Either the man spending his resources on a woman, or a woman securing her resources via a marriage contract )
