Eventually, after ecological collapse and resource depletion, we will have to go back to the standard of living and way of life in Europe in the year AD 600. At least, however, we will have the consolation of an all powerful Christian Church.
Or, farming itself will be impossible due to soil degradation and we'll have to go back to hunter-gatherer lifeways. Return to Monke, so to speak
