Psyfag here.

Sounds like you're in a tough spot. Anon has good advice.

This varies based on state and county, and isn't as good as landing a job and getting your own place, but if you could do that easily, you wouldn't be desperate enough to ask here.

Look up your local county department of social services or failing that, or possibly in addition to that, federal social security office. There are a number of emergency social welfare programs that are worth looking into.

Some key programs:

EBT: Formerly food stamps. They may give you a way to buy groceries and food. This is means tested, so if you own too much or make too much you don't qualify.

Medicaid.: Safety net health insurance. In some states, this may cover some HRT, but there are usually a lot of hoops to jump through.

If you have documented evidence that your mental illness is disabling, you may qualify for SSI. Rules for this vary wildy by state.

Finally, Section 8 is the federal program to try to get people with low or no income some sort of housing that isn't a homeless shelter. There are frequently absurd wait lists. My local one is up to about 14 years.
