all these "golden child" only affects you if you don't have good relationship with your brother/sister
my brother is more successful than me but my parents never lambasted me about it and i love him and im proud of all of his accomplishments.
My heart weeps for people with bad parents, as it seems to be most of the population nowadays, but suicide isn't the answer to this supposed shame.
