The external parts of the structure containing electronics and shit don't need to resist sea pressure so they're fine. The vessel got basically sliced through by pressure where the carbon fiber hull was connected to the titanium endcaps, pressing everyone into a fine red paste against one end of the submersible and shredding the carbon fiber tube, but most of the rest was recovered.
