I agree. Some don’t appreciate a “boring” romance as much until they experience enough stories where all the tension comes from two couples trying to find the best excuse to hide their feelings from each other at every possible turn. It’s one thing to not feel ready to confess, it’s another when the narrative rips itself apart trying to keep the couple from being a couple. By comparison the stories that do the opposite feel like a breathe of fresh air.
