I guess that description would make it strange that humans would seen so exclusively.
At the same time you could chalk it up to game depictions not necessarily reflecting what is really happening 1:1, like the way that Samus' equipment is done is a matter of gameplay design convenience, and not a working depiction of how it really would go.
