I prefer the 'Drugs bad' era just because writers were allowed to cross lines they normally weren't because it was about depicted how terrible drugs were.
Like in BraveStarr where they straight up kill a kid by having him OD on space cocaine.
Same with GI Joe where the Headman remains the only character killed on screen in the entire TV series's history.
