It's crazy how optimistic we were at the time. Movie tech had recently crossed that line to the point where it felt like they could do anything. We were so spoiled we actually all thought At World's End was mid when it came out. I recently rewatched this for the first time and after a decade of slop it feels like a fucking all time classic blockbuster.
