Another thing I thing was REALLY telling of just how shit Paldea is: It's open feel really incoherent, as in it feels like Gamefreak had a bunch of Pokemon ideas lying around and haphazardly slapped them into Paldea.

I'm only saying this because generation 5, 6, 7, and 8 all had Pokedex's themed around the surrounding cultures and history the region was based on (with some outliers here and there like the Swords of Justice, The Tao and the Genies). Besides maybe 10 out of the 102 that were in the base game there isn't really any new Pokemon that one could look at and say, "Yeah, that looks like it came from a Spain themed region!"

Add onto that with Gamefreak newest attempt to lazily re-adding old Pokemon with "Convergent Evolution Pokemon" -- even though Regional Forms are a thing and make for much better executions -- PLUS all the Paradox Pokemon being retrends of already existing Pokemon and you can quickly see what I'm getting at here...
