I really wish people were capable of basic commentary on something anymore. It shouldn't be treated like some big mystery, or some handwaved excuse, as to why people would find an episode like this retarded and poorly written beyond "you just want to complain" or "they offended you personally because of something they said." But that's literally the only thing people are capable of saying anymore.
Honestly that's probably why people are apologizing for the revival so much, it's written with the same current mindsets 90% of people here watching it have been in for the past decade, so they don't understand the problem anymore let alone how it's different from the original. People couldn't even recognize the Microagressions billboard gag as feeling out of place like a New Norm joke. Because this type of writing and humor is all anyone's experienced for years.

If it makes you feel any better, I was consistently expressing my disappointment since the drop on a per episode basis. None of them were great and I doubt I'll rewatch any of them in the future.
