I'm leaning towards a intercessor/heavy intercessor army based around Lieutennants and Apothecary Biologis for lethal hits spam. Utilizing Anvil Siege Force for +1 to wound on all targets if they stood still.

Hitting on 2+ is nice.
Hits with 6's auto wounding is nice with -1AP and either double shots at 1 wound/each or half the shots longer range at 2 wounds/each.
Wounding standing still is 5+ at worst.
Wounding toughness lower is on 2+, with dice so numerous it can wipe a gaunt unit of 20 a turn.

Thinking 30 and 30 of both intercessor types and 1 of each leader to get that critical hits thing a decent chance to hurt bigger stuff. The sticky objective and 2+ save on half the army while standing on objectives against flak fire is nice too.

1500 points at 177 wounds for the army seems fun to me. Very meme-worthy, maybe WACO if I didn't know better. Easy list building because 1 of each unit+1 of each leader type makes exactly 500 points.

Convince me it's not a good idea. I really want a "Holy Bolter" army, where the baseline guns are their basic gun for a reason.

Image related, I have 60 Infernus marines. conversion idea bottom right. Already pinned that I could utilize plastic quarter spheres for hood shields and a plethora of shields to use for the gun flanks. Just a few plastic blocks and tubes away from making the bolt rifle/heavy bolter variants. If you can fire 4 "better than bolt gun" shots a turn, it may as well be held like a heavy bolter right? Even if it just fires 2 shots a turn with almost heavy bolter stats?

My excuse for them holding the guns that way is the ammunition load. All marines have "25 round magazines" and no apparent backup magazines. Maybe I could utilize the heavy weapon appearance to load the ammunition for

Early idea stages. Be nice pls.
