You’re confusing discipline (something you haven’t experienced) with desire (something you have). You falsely assume that disciplined individuals just like it more, have more energy, more motivation, it’s somehow an easier decision for them. It does get easier, but only because you get used to it and know what it takes. At first, exercising discipline is the same struggle you feel every time — but choosing the right path instead. Even if you’re tested every 30 seconds (often the case when the subconscious expects while the conscious denies) you make the right choice, and over days, weeks, months, you will see it gets easier. But it’s never going to be “more pleasant,” at least not in that way. You just learn to derive your satisfaction from other areas, such as the rewards for your efforts.
