I used to buy £100 (+/- £30) chairs and found they would fail constantly in one way or another in usually just over a year, so I paid £264 for a "premium" gaming chair with a lifetime guarantee in 2020 (it's £199 in 2025), and they've earned that price point and guarantee boast, because this is the most reliable chair I've ever had, the only issues with it are all aesthetic issues from wearing, but the hydraulic cylinder has stayed strong, the tilt and arms mechanisms all still work, and it's still relatively comfortable; I wish I had bought a mesh one for hot weather or one with more padding on the back, but these are minor complaints (especially the latter, as I've fallen asleep in this chair multiple times)
