Mike Stoklasa was right about a lot of things and wrong about a lot of things. He was right about the tone, wooden acting, and some of the plot points. He overcorrected insanely (probably for filler) and tried too hard criticizing aspects of the plot that weren't necessarily bad and claiming plot holes existed that simply didn't. Easily ~80% of the issues with the prequels and special editions are tone/execution related—especially the tone deaf slapstick garbage that yes is usually CGI and comes off like Tim & Eric jokes. Yes this includes Jar Jar Binks and stuff like Jedi Rocks (which to be honest is worse than Jar Jar).

This is why I hate Rick Worley. Like Mike Stoklasa he was right about a lot of things but when he tried to defend the tone deaf slapstick he came off like a total retard. The "for kids" excuse doesn't work because Lord of the Rings and especially Harry Potter are "kid friendly" and don't have anything so off-tone like that sorta shit. It's a lazy excuse. He also made a bunch of other bad faith claims and made copout arguments that basically amounted to variations of "George Lucas wanted it therefore it's good", which would invalidate most film criticisms but I digress.
