I think it's just cause I've seen a ton of MOTW shows before and since watching Sailor Moon but I always appreciate when the show is more than willing to make the MC the butt of a joke or not shy away from their flaws. A lot of them have a bad habit of devolving into "the MC show guest starring their friends"
