when I run my ac in the summer, there is a smell that comes out of the floor vents. the smell is similar to walking into the bathroom 5 min after someone took a shit, or the smell of wet dirt that sometimes has a hue of shit smell. its just bad enough that i don't run the ac. this has been going on for many years. it never happens when i use the heat, only cooling in the summer.

searching online I determined the coil for the ac in the furnace has mold on it. i want to access it to clean it rather than have some hvac guy come out and pocket 500 bucks.
