It's probably just me but I mentally associate Amelia Rules and Amelia herself more with "all-ages" indie comics than usual school book fair fare.
Patty-Cake, Akiko, Mighty Skullboy Army, Jetcat, etc
She more or less teeters on that middle ground like Bone or Magic Pickle (since a lot of people from that crowd went ahead to do kids comics sold in that market/for that audience) even if she's the most niche of the bunch determined by the alleged Discord server.
She's not a diary series like the other's but neither is Raina's comics who also started her career doing traditional indie comics and she was accepted first.
