Well honestly I think the "arcane" universe should be separate from the league game universe anyway, since magic is much rarer in the show anyway. But for the Ryze one I'm specifically referring to the change/retcon from S1 to S2.

In season 1, the person who saves Jayce and gives him that rune/stone was clearly intended to be Ryze. But in season 2 it was changed to be alternate timeline/reality whatever Viktor.
The writers even stated that their original intention was for it to be Ryze if I recall, but that idea was later scrapped.
