The real Redpill is that Sonic should have ended in 2005.

>the Dreamcast was dead which forced Sonic third party
>the SA1 port was botched
>Sonic Heroes released to mixed results
>the Advance games concluded and received lukewarm reception from Classic Sonic fans
>Sonic Battle was mostly ignored and people only liked the sprites
>Sonic X concluded and Sonic Team likely dumped all of their creative juices into it
>Shad05 was a critical bomb
>Sonic Rush was ignored for Shad05

By 2005 the franchise was actually running on fumes and Heroes was a flop when it came to getting audiences to like the extended Sonic cast. Only Shadow was the breakout star and we saw the fruits of giving him a solo game.

Sonic has nothing that isn't just a rehash of the past 20 years later.
