How many models do you have unbuilt in total?
If you are stretching out your dollar, build a cool unit that interests you (TSS, HSS, Veterans etc).
If you have plenty more, I would personally recommend 40 tactical marines in total. Painting up 4 sgt's and then 2 extra generic dudes gives you some flexibility also. You can run them as 4 ten man squads, as 2 twenty man squads, 2 ten man and 1 twenty man squad etc.
40 tactical marines just so happens to be how much a typical demi-company has also, if you are feeling autistic and want to adhere to how an astartes force might be formatted.
