The butterfly associated with Miquella is the nascent one. the game mentions that Miquella is cursed with eternal youth,but i think that extends to the concept of nascence in general, never fully maturing or being complete. Miquella has fucked up everything he's attempted in one way or another (unalloyed gold, his own light miracles, the Haligtree, saving Albinaurics, the eclipse ritual) at the critical moment, so I think the idea is that even his gambit to become a god and start his own age was doomed. he completely chokes on the divine gate ritual, getting killed by a nobody five minutes after becoming a god. his plan wasn't smart because then it might have worked, and Miquella's plans cannot ever work.
