You shouldnt really start with it, Playing 1 after 2 is way harder, but it is pretty much that.
>Units are way harder to lose permanently
>Rarepons (Patapon races with different skills and weaknesses) are an upgrade tree you can freely choose from after unlocking rather than making a whole new patapon through a material combo without a guide
>Heropon abilities are fun, like the bowman becoming a machinegun in fever
>The 4-hero (Formerly multiplayer) mode which unlocks different masks for the hero and allows you to customize his stats in conjunction with rarepon choice and gear is quite fun to replay
>Toripons are fucking awesome
>Input timing is more lenient on normal than 1, where you could have a 9-song combo without getting fever while in 2 it takes like 4 inputs at worst unless you play on hard
>All the bosses of 1 are there
>The all-treepon team concussion spam on bosses hilarity
It is pretty much the same game but better. 1 is only really needed for those who want to experience the series whole, experience its story, or for tryhard faggots because muh difficulty.
