besides im not sure about patapon 1. in pata1 there was lots of bosses, or at least you could've replay bosses and get new items for new weapons. but you did stuck with old patapons with bad weapons. but there was no way no change old ones onto new ones. only if boss will eat them, and boss could've eat like 4-5-10 of them not only ones you wanted. so i kinda stuck there on that moment when im farming for good loot but i cannot do anything with it

To be honest, patapon 3 is way better than 1 and 2, even the multiplayer was fun, Uber heroes and only 3 other patas following you instead of a army was the best, my only problem with 3 is the lack of mini games from 2, but makes sense since you don't need to much resources to update weapons. Glad I buy a modded vita years back.

I never liked Patapon. It feels like all the challenge comes from how unresponsive the patapons are.

My problem with 3 is that a lot of levels of bosses can only be beaten if you have the required stats, you can not simply win by being good at game because there will be times where it is impossible to not take damage unless you kill the enemy first.

I find it hard to justify it when the music quality is still as compressed as the psp's

yea, they're all viable but the popular option will always be Tondenga since he can just brute force the whole game with ease. the problem with Patapon 3 is definitely the grind, leveling up your team usually takes forever.

usually the way to go is to level up Yarida to level 32 to get all his skills and then change to Charibasa. you can probably pick up some other interesting skills from other classes but this is usually the way to go.

I was excited for this then I found out it has the same input lag issues as the PS4 version

I'm up to the Baban fight where there's a moving gate and a Zigaton soldier dude and I'm getting walled by not dealing enough damage. Even the previous mission with the mounted guy was a struggle. I feel like I need to grind a million materials and money just to get my troops up to par. I don't think I ever beat the first Patapon and this is probably why.

You can't cancel a fever and immediately start your own beat, you'd have to wait one (music) bar before being able to input commands again

The moment i stopped treating it like Patapon 4 and started to actually enjoy throwing my cobuns into the meatgrinder it immediately clicked into fun mode for me. There was also the matter of me forgetting about the forge and doing like 12 runs with starter weaponry, resulting in steamrolling the shit out of everyone once i realized i could do that and made stronk swords.

Overall, It certainly feels more fun than 3 for me. Not a high bar, but i've replayed 2 start to finish like 20 times already and i want something new.
