How do you bother yourself to learn a language without a million escapist cartoons? I really don't think I can ever learn anything but Japanese at this rate. I'm really interested in Mandarin or even Cantonese but Chinktoons kind of suck (please prove me wrong if I am). CGDCT and other assorted escapist girls anime are really a uniquely Japanese thing, I guess. I just don't know how I'd ever immerse myself in any language without cartoons. Like yeah I guess France has some good ones but I have no desire at all to live in France or even visit, really.
