One of the shots from a cinematic in the reveal trailer is a recreation of a shot from Warfare, another Alex Garland movie and nobody would say Warfare is remotely woke, infact it's 'based'
Civil War was even criticized for being subtle and vague to the point of being meaningless anyway, which is what this conflict with Pax almost is
Pax is a vague non-descript enemy to move away from the increasingly violent and more internationally conflicted real world, which better serves the live service model of the game in being able to introduce new content (like the subfactions leak)
