You know, when I cheer for the underdogs of utwg, and the robots of r9k, I usually feel validated. I've crawled out of some dark dirty depressing holes with the help of others, yes, but largely from helping myself because of 120 weeks I was battling alone. That feeling of being validated in helping others wanes can wane when I don't see similar effort from the other underdogs of society. When that happens, I consider withdrawing my efforts to help them up.
