I'm bothered by the fact that I can defend this story cause I'm kind of misotheistic.
It's meta. It's supposed to be a parable with you being the fig tree. But are you a fig with no mind? You have responsibilities which goes against your fallen nature. You will rot likewise if you say that's how the world is (fallen) and that I'm going with the rhythm.
