The appeal is how alien and hostile the whole place is, the other races' failed attempts at colonizing it, and their relationship with the lizards. There's still stone architecture all over the place if that's what you're into, both the ruins from the extinct races that used to inhabit black marsh and the ancient argonians and the still fully functional imperial colonies.
Just don't expect the lizards to be warhammer lizards. Think of them as more like....idk, non-evil tyranids i guess. They have a psychic hive-mind thing going on and their aesthetic should be more focused on organic elements.
