Inserting a black frame completely solves the problem of modern screens being crap, but the final image is very dark and I don't know how viable it is for games. On my monitor with a response time of about 5ms according to rtings, the image is perfect at 48fps, much better than the same image at 144fps.

I used an external device.
It works something like this: you see the lighting in your room (in my case, I use 6500K bulbs), and from there, the idea is that the colors on your monitor look as close as possible to the colors you see in your room, in the real world.
So if, for example, you scan an image from a book and look at the same book in your room and on your monitor screen, the colors will be very similar.
