I haven't played Rogue Trader yet, but from what I've heard about this black cop he seems basically the same as Ekundayo from Pathfinder Kingmaker.

If he has an African accent and lost a love one to a monster than I would go so far as to say that he's literally just Grim Dark Ekun. Its a shame he's a DLC companion, Owlcat always seems to make DLC companions that barely interact with the game.
