TL;DR why don't they just give up and just mass produce basic propeller planes with modern comforts and weapons? That would be suicide for just about any other country's air force but India actually has the man power [spoiler]and lack of value for human life almost on par with China's[/spoiler] that creating more targets than their enemy has missiles or aircraft and drones to intercept against is a legitimate strategy. Then maintain and preserve their few beloved Sukhoi's and Rafale's for those who are most competent to fly them... LOL nah they'll be reserved almost entirely for the ethnic Brahmin class regardless of whether or not they're actually effective at piloting them. Meritocracy and self accountability doesn't exist in India, which by now is probably obvious to most of the anons here.

Heck that would come with some advantages too like for one needing to be less skilled of a pilot to fly low bellow most radars even.
