Right now, the U.S. housing sector sucks but I think Trump is about to unleash the housing market in a way few will believe soon. Its lining like crypto was about August 2023: prices stagnant, but insiders quietly setting the stage for a massive ride. What that means for us imho is more supply in homes, lower mortgage rates and more growth in home builders.

How Trump and others conquered the crypto market was playing chess with regulators and then finishing things off with laws. The biggest event in crypto was SEC Chair Gary Gensler stepping down. Then Bitcoin ETF's were legalized. The housing market feels exactly like this right now.

First legally: we have a future bill called H.R.1340 - More Homes on the Market Which raises capital gains exclusion on home sales, reducing the “locked-in” effect.

The second bill that passed the Senate is called Renewing Opportunity in the American Dream (ROAD) to Housing Act.
It would help:
Speed & lower building costs.
Boost for modular/manufactured housing
Targeted affordable housing support
Local infrastructure & incentives

Next we have the chess playing: Jerome Powell's job is at heavy risk and many replacements are spoken about. What is important to know is Trump loyalists are already being installed at the Fed. As of August 9, 2025, President Donald Trump has temporarily appointed Stephen Miran, a critic of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and a member of the Council of Economic Advisers, to fill the vacant seat on the Federal Reserve’s board of governors left by Adriana D. Kugler.

Trump loyalists are being considered for other positions.

If rates drop and mortgage costs fall, buying and building will grow. Together, more supply, cheaper financing, and pro-housing policy could create a generational housing boom. Like buying Bitcoin in 2023, buying housing stocks now could be catching the exact bottom.
