Planning a trip to Japan in August for the first time, for 2 weeks. We want to climb Mount Tate (Tateyama) and ideally some other nearby peaks. We would like to get this done in one day of hiking. We would be arriving from Tokyo, or possibly from the Nikko region if there is an easy connection
Any suggestions for good base points or ways to do this?
