.45 can actually blow up to like .85" just with a little less penetration. .357 on the other hand just seems to suck no matter what. The only .357 rounds that will expand to this degree are all copper meme rounds. Others either grossly over-penetrate or basically just match 9mm performance or worse, all in exchange for a bunch of recoil.
