I again chickened out on hiking Gillespie Point and instead chose to hike from highway 44 NE of Hyner to the (now removed) Bob Webber cabin site on the western flank of Pine Creek.

No, but I am planning to try to hike from the old view rd to a spot with a view of post draft hollow ( a tributary of hyner run)
I believe you can see Gillespie Point from here (the pyramid looking pointy thing in the far background), as well as possibly Chimney Rock, background left, and Twin Mountain Vista/Hilborn Mtn foreground right (another vista I've hiked to)
I also have Baldwin Point on my list, which is basically the other side of 44 (west) and unfortunately is not really maintained so it's chancy cuz the overlook could be largely obstructed now, but offers a look down the holler one west of hyner run from the north looking south, but its been sadly abandoned.
Hyner View is really nice. This is my second time there.
