it's reasoonable to assume that lawyer will start at the beginning (your bank statements) and then follow the breadcrumbs to your crypto wallet.

setting up separate bank accounts is one way to do this but if the lawyer finds that then you are fucked. if he is any good he will also subpoena all US exchanges, so it's worth just assuming that your crypto shenanigans are going to be discovered. if you start with that assumption: use kraken to buy XMR, under your name on the monthly and withdraw to an XMR wallet, this is your dummy wallet and what you will give up when it's discofvered. on a monthly basis move 90% of that wallet to another XMR wallet and move that into an exchange account under your mother's or father's name. That's where you do your trading and it's from there that you withdraw to a ledger/trezor.

These two hops will make it near impossible for lawyer to find your wealth.
