This sort of thing is how carved art looked globally for most of history. Hating bare unpainted sculpture is something /tg/ elitists share with their ancestors since before recorded history. Very inspiring. This one is in Peru from a pair of shrines to the sun and moon. I only saw one of the two and do not have my pictures but this googled one is how the entire place looked. Same thing in all Middle Eastern ruins. Same thing in Chinese tombs. Sometimes just for decoration but often to make things more lifelike.
