"God" won't fix the issue of a lack of morality. I've met plenty of "religious" psychopaths who only use their religion to give themselves a false sense of moral authority/perceived superiority and justify whatever they already wanted to do.

Any instructions that conflict with what they already wanted to do (such as don't lie, don't steal, don't be an all around jackass) is conveniently ignored all while spouting the praises of the one on high.
