You're preaching to the choir. I don't mind the raspy chain smoking femshep in 2 though, it fits the fallen / dark night of soul act 2 was going for. It doesn't really work in the end, but at least they tried.

protip: ignoring the renegade interrupt when the merc recruiter mistakes you for a stripper is way colder than the pistol-as-a-dick retort. You just stare the guy down until he awkwardly moves on.
Also, not kicking the eclipse merc through the skyscraper window is pretty good too.
