This is likely what the dark world actually looks like without lightner intervention, randomly pieced together bridges that connect one fountain to the next. It's what I assume Ralsei uses to move around between dark worlds. Lightners probably cant use these because that would mean teleporting your physical body from the school to the library.
Speaking of which, he must know there's a fountain in the bunker, if he could sense the rest, and if he can ostensibly teleport from one dark fountain to the next, why cant he go there? Is everyone except Susie and the soul working with the Knight?
