>Storytime threads have nothing to do with /a/ being "dead"
They do because they're the reason I come here less and less and I love manga and read tons of it. Functionally, I see them exactly the same as any manga being hosted on a piracy site, with the same level of activity and discussion, but with robotic and dry, boring commentary, and the selection usually being curated by people who have an active disdain for manga and only read dead ancient shonen or weird soapy josei shit. I think one of these people got caught crossboarding multiple storytimes on both /co/ and /a/ recently, the wolf and cub guy, to give you an idea who's deciding what content "belongs" here apparently. So rather than discussing manga, the level of discourse has been lowered to who's willing to sit here for 12 hours a day making storytime generals and bumping them. Doesn't matter if the manga is good or bad, it will permanently occupy the catalogue for months. It's all so obviously cancerous, it should have been stomped out ages ago.
