I neglected to mention the "primer drag" on my spent cartridges. Assholes would have you believe this a timing issue as if the slide-chamber seal is compromised by shoddy design/manufacture because pressing down on the chamber with a thumb will tilt it slightly. The keyhole shaped marks on the primer here are simply a result of the firing pin remaining protruded during extraction and before the sear resets. Considering the end is shaped like a spearhead, this was all probably taken into consideration by Gaston himself as he designed it
