My favorite one is Vlad the Impaler. Dude had to be really something to impale over a hundred thousand people officially. And I'm always impressed with that one time he impaled 20.000 turks.
Like holy crap, it's to a point you could likely get the same results with 5.000 or so there just to scare off the enemies, 20.000 was just to show off completely.
