Flynn: I am not really sure because I don't want to go there. Time travel stories are a mess to deal with. They require a lot of thinking, and what we have gotten in Sonic is already kind of a tangled ball of yarn. So I just don't want to do that. I'm not smart enough to do a good time travel story, to be honest, so I really don't want to go there. In general though, I think Sega generally doesn't want us to mix past and present. So I don't think we're going to see like modern in classic or classic and modern anytime soon. I mean, it's fine when they do it because it's their franchise, but I don't think we're going to be seeing any time hopping anytime soon, so I don't know what the limitations are on that."
